Optimize Project Management in China
Many professionals are facing the challenge to manage projects every day with little help from their companies or their previous background and experience. When the challenge includes managing projects with virtual or multicultural teams, usually the results are projects finishing with significant delays and over budget.
This training will provide the participants with some tools to identify and control the scope of a project, one of the classical reasons why projects suffer from delays and over budget problems. Managing the key stakeholders is one of the keys for success in China. We will provide some techniques to improve understanding on how Western and Chinese stakeholders have different needs and expectations, and help to meet such demands while fulfilling the project scope. Scheduling and scheduling control tools will also be practiced and mastered. A practical step by step approach to risk management will be showed during the training.

• Understand the Project Life Cycle used in your company and evaluate industry related Project Life Cycles.
• Prepare a Stakeholder Matrix and understand stakeholder management in China

• Development of CPM (Critical Path Method)
• Compression techniques evaluation of Crashing and Fast Tracking and how is used in China
• Baseline and control of the Schedule
• Create a Risk Matrix

TRAINER:
Jesus Hernandez
A PMP and a Boston University certified project management instructor, Mr. Hernandez got his master degree in the University of Miami, in Industrial Engineering. He has over 10 years of experience in managing multimillion US$ projects in USA, Latin America, Europe and Asia.
His vast experience in international projects, have given him a clear understanding of the challenges of managing multi-language and multi-cultural virtual teams. He uses this experience to relate the concepts to the participants in a way that it can be clearly understood by them.
In the last few years he has put his experience into service by developing and conducting trainings and seminars in Asia. Having conducted project management consulting engagements in different industries, Banking, Manufacturing, F&B, Automotive, Telecommunications, Construction, and IT, he makes sure that the tools and techniques explained during the trainings come along with some practical explanation. His exposure to different industries in China, give him and his trainings a practical approach to solve day to day problems when managing projects in China.
