The Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China and the EU SME Centre are delighted to invite you to a SME event on June 24 2011:
Standardisation and Conformity Assessment in China
This Event is Cancelled!
Why are Chinese standards important to European exporters?
* Chinese standards identify the legal requirements for products entering China
* Most products entering China are covered by mandatory certification
* Conformity assessment is mandatory and can only be carried out in China
* Very few international certificates are accepted in China
The Chinese standardisation system sets out quality and safety requirements for products circulated on the Chinese market. Any product entering the Chinese market therefore has the legal responsibility to conform to Chinese standards. This event will assist SMEs to better understand conformity assessment in China and standards required for importing products into the market, covering aspects such as application process, inspections, marks, labels and associated costs.
Who should attend?
The EU SME Centre has a clear mandate to offer its services to SMEs from the 27 Member States of the EU. SMEs (or intermediary servicing SMEs) with maximum 250 employees and with a maximum turnover of 50m are most welcome to attend.
