The Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to a CSR event on Tuesday June 14 2011:
Food Safety: Business Risk or Business Opportunity?
Food safety is under the spotlight worldwide, putting enormous responsibility on governments and businesses to protect consumers and customers. Keeping food safe however is a complex endeavour that is only getting more complicated. A crisis in one country or part of the supply chain can often affect the other. Such interdependence calls for a commitment to share knowledge, experiences and solutions to strengthen food safety.*
At this CSR round table the following statements will guide the discussion ‘whether food safety is a business risk or business Opportunity’:
- Following food safety regulations doesn’t give me a competitive advantage.
- Chinese protectionism limits my import.
- Chinese Consumers will change the market.
- Foreign companies have a bigger responsibility.
