The Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China and AmCham-China and The Conference Board are delighted to invite you to a business event on May 18 2011:
Sustainable Corporate Development in China: Research and Practice
Despite rapidly increasing business interest in the sustainability topic, very few measures or benchmarks currently exist regarding emerging norms for sustainable business practices in China, or the factors that define excellence in this new and critical functional area.
The Conference Board will present key findings from its survey-based research study, to be released early June. With more than 470 responses covering both Chinese and foreign companies, headquartered across 30 Chinese provinces and with over 2,250 additional key office or manufacturing sites across the country, the survey represents one of the most comprehensive studies on corporate sustainability practices in China to date. It provides new insights for senior executives, corporate strategists, and CSR/sustainability practitioners looking for a detailed, practical evaluation of current corporate sustainability programs in China.
Following this, expert speakers will discuss current CSR realities and trends in China and their practical implications for business going forward. Panelists include:
Ms. Kelly Lau CSR Director, Nike China
Mr. Guo Peiyuan General Manager and Co-Founder of SynTao Sustainability Solutions
Mr. Sean Gilbert China Director at Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
Mr. Kaying Lau Senior Consultant of APCO and co-hair of the CSR committee
