The Benelux Chamber of Commerce in China is delighted to invite you to a SME event on Friday January 21:
How to manage Social Risk in China?
Managing social risk is imperative for all business leaders in present day China. Strikes and social unrest are occurring more frequently across China, a phenomenon accelerating this past year. As an example, social conflicts in Zhejiang province increased 160% in the first quarter of 2010 compared to the same period in 2009.
What are the main elements of daily life generating social problems and conflicts? How can the impact of social risk be minimized? What action should take place when conflict occurs? What is the legal and managerial way to address issues and move forward?
Firstly this seminar will provide an overview of China’s social, cultural and legal framework. We will then provide concepts and tools to help prepare you for doing business within China. Case studies will be used to highlight the importance of a management system and the role of a management team when dealing with social risk.
• What’s the social, cultural and legal context within China?
• What does social risk mean? What does it mean to face social risk?
• Strategy: preventing social risk and managing emergencies
• Workshop: case studies
