We would like to inform you that frequent passport controls have been reported in public areas of Guangzhou, e.g. Tianhe Bei Road and in clubs and bars across town. It is said that this is one of the measures Guangzhou is currently undertaking as they prepare for the Asian Games in November 2010. We would therefore suggest that you carry your original passports with you at all times when in China, especially the Guangzhou area.
